In the Beginning...

I've always been crazy for tales of adventure. Mogli in Jungle Book, Christopher Robin in Winnie the Pooh - that was me! As I got older, I was one of the Hardy Boys solving mysteries in the backyard or part of Frodo's gang in Lord of the Rings. In middle school, I wrote a short story adventure, and by golly, my teacher loved it! And at the University of Texas in Austin, my thesis professor said my paper read like a dramatic novel!

Looking back, I often wonder why I didn't try to become a writer sooner. I must have missed the signposts!

Three years later...

It wasn't until I took a creative writing class at a community college in Chicago that I considered storytelling as a possible career. The instructor remarked one day, "Your style is very visual. Have you thought about writing for film?"

Within five years of that day, I had a Master's degree in film production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles.

BBC Creative Producer

After college in the US, I went to Sydney, Australia, to work as a Creative Producer for the BBC. I had a wonderful time writing and producing material for their children's channel, CBeebies. You can view some of my work in the videos below.

Screenwriter & Story Developer

Since 2015, I've been a freelance screenwriter, working for directors, producers, and authors worldwide. I've won multiple awards, including the top prize at the Nashville Film Festival. I developed the family-friendly animated project CATSAWAY for Tent Pictures, which was then bought by the Abu Dhabi production company Image Nation.
